Margot originally came on as a producer, read the script, and wanted the part. I feel that this is why she's miscast, because how do you say no to one of the the biggest movie stars in the world? Unless it was always Fennells intention to have her, a lot was changed to accommodate her.

will never understand the hate this movie is receiving. i read the book countless times & watched all the movies, i can separate the 2 & enjoy them for what it is without comparing. this movie was never claimed to be a faithful adaptation lol it’s how emerald perceived the book in her mind & essentially turned it into a fanfic😭 it was visually stunning & i adored everything about it from their acting, the symbolism, the themes, literally everything🫶🏼 i found it refreshing actually that this movie was created out of inspiration & creativity rather than claiming to be faithful to the book like the other movie adaptations that don’t quite capture the truthfulness in the book. in my opinion this movie captured the essence of the book which is love & obsession, it captured the dark themes without having to be faithful to the events & details. it’s a masterpiece😫🦋
