my whites last about 5 years on average. my filson stuff is lasting under a year on average except for the very few made in USA pieces they still sell. I'd avoid filson if you actually need work wear. if youre an urbanite that's cosplaying someone who works for a living, anything will be buy it for life.

so I went to the flagship filson store in Seattle and I'd say that a good portion of their higher end pieces are still well made, but they've expanded into making more casual pieces, and I think those pieces are where the quality/ craftsmanship has really dipped

have dehen and a pair of whites MP Shermans and can confirm the quality. I want a Schott leather jacket so bad but can't justify the 1200+ purchase right now 😂 maybe next fall

Alden quality is embarrassing these days. 3 shell cordovan boot/shoe purchases, where the sole was coming off when it came in the mail. Never again. Nope.

The only one I don’t agree with is filson their new stuff is not the best if you do want filson stay on their wool and tin cloth only and even then try eBay for a better deals

my whites lasted three months before the stitching started coming out and they wouldn't stand behind them. I will never own another pair. I have had so many Danners and will continue to buy them. the quality exceeds the price point. If my wife would let me sleep in my Alden Indy's I would! favorite pair of shoes hands down!

Filson is overpriced import crap now. Alden is also overpriced crap. Whites is legit but inflation hit the PNW bookmakers hard so they’re crazy pricey now. Still they’re the only ones doing hand welted stitch down.
