It was frustrating but if people seriously don’t understand why she lied in this scene they need to rewatch.. choosing not to side with her sister OR joffrey was the only thing stopping her from getting in deep shit with the lannisters.. she probably wouldn’t have survived king’s landing wo this one decision, it shaped the way cersei saw and treated her slightly sparingly later on
