It is concerning that commentators appear to be unaware that the right of entry under the Work, Health and Safety Act originates from safety concerns raised by union members. Right of entry is a legally granted right, and all workers are entitled to a safe workplace. Many of these workers are paid below minimal wages. All the while CEOs rack in millions in pay on the back of exploiting workers with unsafe workplace practices.

If a Health and safety issue is reported by either HSR or employees, and they are part of a union and requested assistance from union, then they are legally required to attend and are not allowed to be denied. There are Very strong laws for anything Health and Safety, as soon as they are in Australian waters and Australian property. People have no idea about Health and safety legislation, it is so important for the workers, gives them power to ensure that their workplace is safe. Unions are not evil for upholding the law. For everyone saying they have no right, get educated on Health and safety legislation
