Sounds like a solid lawsuit against the dealership who have a legal obligation to clear any debts, verify the car's vin , etc b4 selling it

This happened to my brother once with a boat. He bought it from a dealership title and all and kinda overpriced. A year later cops took it and said it was stolen and he got screwed out of his money and the dealership got off scott free

I want to know how the cop knew it was stolen?? If it has new tags only way to know would be to have checked the vin numbers.
