So this is really just doing a favor for her, you know?” is how it comes across. And I disagree with your last point. People are NOT obligated to accept our apologies no matter how sincere we are; whether that’s in a workplace environment or at home. They ARE responsible for remaining respectful about it however.

Sometimes once is enough to show people how you behave under pressure and they will never allow you to do that to them again, so their guard is up and just cause you apologise, doesn’t mean they have to accept it.
