When state came, they got us a bunch of pasta and breadsticks. The only thing left was a half eaten breadstick mind you I’m second shift. And then you hear the supervisor saying how they had 2 to 3 bowls of the pasta.

Last year a neighboring city’s Dispatch came in right when the graveyard patrol was in briefing, and said, “We know you guys always get whatever is left over” 🥹 so considerate of them

Night shift does have a history of getting shafted during this week. We also have to inform other people in different departments of what’s going on otherwise no one would know.

My department stole the post the probation department made in appreciation of us and put it on their stories. They never made any individual post or gave recognition. But our manager and supervisors do everything to show appreciation to us. Just rubbed me wrong last year stealing another agency’s post 😅

I used to work night audit at a hotel, chef used to make sure two plates of the banquet food was saved for us, in return we monitored his deliveries for him like a hawk and reported any damages on arrival. Remover that 3rd shift can be your greatest ally if you treat them right.

I make a huge basket for all our shifts of snacks, drinks, candy. And then whoever donates meals, I’ll take the orders and deliver them so everyone gets their own.. and I’m just a dispatcher, not in charge or anything.
