In my opinion, we don't need to focus too much on the rewards of Heaven. The greatest reward would be being able to see and meet God and the prophets. Since we would live eternally, there would be endless time and countless things to experience. But I understand your concern regarding the man’s interpretation and application of this hadith.

i’m a muslim man and i dint even think about 72 virgins in Paradise. i’m more worried if I able to enter Jannah without hisab. we are so worrying so much about what we gonna get in Jannah but are we even prepared to enter to the next world first right now? having a debate over these is so unrealistic as the rewards is Allah alone to decide. putting into context right now, if it is True that it’s gonna happen, are you then going to argue with Allah why He make such a decree? answer that firstly. also have you even accepted the verses about muslim men cna marry up to 4 wives.. that is explicit stated in the Quran. before u dive into hadith context perhaps muslims shld first reconcile with ourselves sincerely if we are ready for whatever guidance that Allah has established for man and woman in the Quran. ok aside now, if the 72 virgins issue was false, the one that fabricated it against Allah and The Prophet will sure have to answer it on Qiyamah. is there any loss for the muslims then?
