@abcnews: In a 6-3 decision written by Chief Justice John Roberts, the Supreme Court deemed that the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) does not give President Trump the power to unilaterally impose tariffs.  ABC News' @Jonathan Karl has more on what this means.

I just know some first year law students are getting yelled at in excitement by their constitutional law professor this morning about Article I, Section 8, Clause 3 of the Constitution (aka the "Commerce Clause"), and is arguably one of the most powerful Congressional abilities.

No the president did not use tariffs to leverage many deals……….He used it to threaten countries that said they would do a deal but the other Countries never actually followed through. They just gave him his headline.
