Continuing to keep your family in prayers, ATRT is a nightmare. I taught a little boy in Sunday school who had ATRT. He survived the first 5 years, but he passed away at 9. He lived a lot longer than most ATRT kids, but brain cancer almost always wins.

I can’t imagine with her type of cancer. We are kind of in the same spot- Frankie is high risk for relapse so being done with treatment doesn’t feel like the end of the- it feels like the beginning of the scariest part

Life changes into “before diagnosis” and “after diagnosis”. You’re never the same.

The impending doom feeling. Waiting for the other shoe to drop. Even as a leukemia family this is my fear every day so I cannot imagine what goes through your head. 🧡

Prayers she stays cancer free. My son had AT/RT 3 months fast. That worry is very real. Even in my healthy kids I worry. Our innocence is lost of happy, healthy, normal is lost. Stay strong. Hugs.

Diagnoses PTSD is so real no matter the cancer. I had NEVER been the type to think a headache was anything more than a headache. A stomach ache was anything more than a stomach ache. Then I got a harsh cough that turned into Leukemia. One week I was normal and fine, next I had cancer. People don’t realize how fast some cancers appear.

I know how you feel and we get that scared feeling because of all the percentages and how rare this aggressive brain tumor cancer is, I can understand you

My son is 13 years post liver transplant and every single time bloodwork is due…PTSD hits hard. Anyone who doesn’t have chronic ptsd due to a loved one having a life-threatening disease is truly lucky and should count their blessings.
