@englandandeverywhere: This is your annual reminder to check your ISSUE date if you have one of the red old style UK passports! If you renewed your passport early, BEFORE October 2018, and had months remaining on the old passport, they used to add these months onto the new passport (up to 9 months). The EU do not recognise these additional months and require an issue date less than 10yrs old…even though the rest of the world go from the expiry date as normal. Tui and confused .com both have passports checkers that can do the calculations for you.
