Do not throw out the note. You need it for court. Hide it in your tampon box or somewhere he won’t find it. Do not confront him. Don’t let him know you’re angry. Gather your evidence, make your exit plans quietly. When you go grocery shopping get cash back and take out a small amount from the atm each week and quietly squirrel it away. He will do this again if you forgive him and try to move on.
