No, you did not understand. Claude allows it to use any software incl. OpenClaw with their models - using the API access. The subscription is compared to API a bit cheaper, bc it’s only for human use, which are not hammering the Model 100% of the time. If cheaper subscription fees are used by agents, the math isn’t mathing anymore and they‘d need to rise the price also for human subscription users. Has NOTHING to do with hating open source, it’s pretty basic economics class knowledge, actually.

No, they didn’t change policy. This was already a rule. People were violating TOS. Same applies to Open AI and google. You can still use Claude on openclaw, you just have to use the api, I set mine up that way day one. Also, it cost me less than the subscription. Just gotta set it up correctly

Disagree: Using your own analogy they have different pricing per channel- shop visitor vs. volume buyers (tracks). Subscription pricing was made for human usage, not for agents. The usage frequency and volume is very different
