I find no one really asks about you and your life when you’re single as well. Idk if they just assume that because we’re single that we don’t have as much going on. I don’t think it’s intentional, but I always feel like we’re talking about their lives.

I feel the same way too. As I get older, I want to find people like me, single and childless. There’s nothing against people who are the opposite of those but it just makes it easier to make plans and do shit for the plot

i am the chronically single friend and more than happy. one time i talked to a friend of mine about how i was feeling like my friends abandon me as soon as they get in a relationship. she looked me dead in the eye and said "well i'm building my future with my man not my friend". to this day i don't get that concept. you don't see me in your future? now she is married and has a child and i'm one of the only friends she has left and she has told me that it makes her sad. you have to invest in a friendship to keep it and people have to understand that.

And they don’t plan anything with you. Because they have their partner for that. You plan stuff with them….But after a while, that’s exhausting, you stop, because you’re already doing all the planning for yourself on a normal weekday.
