Any moment where she feels as though she “needs to be there” she’s the best person, the moment that that situations over she’s back to the yelling, cursing me out, telling me how much she hates me. Then blames it on “holding grudges” she’s wonders why I’m cutting her off at 18.

When I was in 9th I was grounded for months, almost the entire year and summer. I missed all school activites. The reasons for being grounded always changed. My grades, so I improved. I was 5 min late for curfew, so I would come home half hour early. Didn’t matter, there was always a reason and this lasted until I graduated high school. I lost 4 years and to this day, it’s a joke amongst my friends but she denies it ever happened. 😔

My mom didn’t talk for me for two weeks after I announced my first pregnancy. Our relationship was never the same after that.

My mom made a major switch in when I was in 5th grade. I do however think she had both NPD and BPD.

I never had that version. She never wanted children. But my dad did. She was so resentful of me in particular.

This literally happened to me word for word. I’m 44 and still trying to make sense of it. I hold a lot of resentment towards her, thank you for making these videos.

Felt this to the core of my soul! It’s been the hardest thing I’ve ever had to accept. The loss of the relationship I will never have with her.

Everyday since the age of 10 I’ve literally been my mothers therapist. I’ve been severely depressed since the age of 14, 19 now, still haven’t told her because I’ve never gotten a chance to have her listen to my feelings instead. I genuinely don’t feel like I have a mom, I don’t even feel like her friend, just her therapist

I remember my pediatrician asking me if I had somewhere else to live, I’m not sure what she saw in my mother to make her ask me when I was 15… but I remember it vividly 🥹

I never thought it was happen, but my mom turned on me. I made the difficult decision to go no contact with her. It’s been 7 years. It’s hard, but my life is much more peaceful.

Yep! Mine is notorious for silent treatment. I got the silent treatment at 21 for a month bc I said I wanted to move in with my now spouse. Then at 29, 2 years of silent treatment bc my divorced dad was helping me look for my first house and now the latest is going on 8 years for some odd reason. I learned to let go and not bother anymore. It’s sad and painful her problem with me is not mine to solve anymore.

Now imagine that daughter is biracial. Her Mom has undiagnosed BPD, a gambling addiction, and abusive! verbally and physically. Not to mention the racial slurs I'd be called. im now 37 and things are coming out, now that im a new Mom.
