Chef Ryu Isobe is most well known as the founder of famous chain Tatsu Ramen, but when he noticed they were starting to focus on quantity over quality and simplicity over creativity, he sold it to do basically the exact opposite. And thus, Kazan was born, a Michelin-recognized Beverly Hills shop that might be pricey, but still manages to feel like a neighborhood hole-in-the-wall. Not only is the ramen here completely different from anything else out there, it’s also really delicious. Everything is made from scratch here, and that care really shines through.
