How do you calculate the MAGI since you won’t know until the end of the year? Or does the IRA calc the MAGI for you?

Also, I make way more than the minimum for Roth, but my employer lets us have the option of putting money either in pre-tax or tax into a Roth wouldn’t they know it’s not allowed to do that or is it a different situation?

Hey Nallory! Another great video. Question. Not advice, just your thoughts 😄 is there any benefit to depositing the max allotment for an IRA at the beginning of the year, for me it’s $8,600 I think (age 54) or doing a monthly “deposit” into my Roth IRA for 12 months?

What should you do if you already purchased stocks with it? Do you just sell them and send the money back to your bank or move over to your Traditional?

What’s the best place to put post-tax investments in if I can’t put it in a Roth? I’m debating if it’s worth moving my Rollover IRA to my employer 401k so I can do backdoor Roth…but my plan is also to leave my employer this year or next so I feel like I’ll just have to keep transferring it…

Ugh I did this. It’s not a lot so I literally just take it out. I hear it until a regular, but how do I make sure that they don’t penalize years later

Great points. You should always just do a backdoor if you’re anywhere near the MAGI limits
