On February 19, a Texas judge formally exonerated Robert Springsteen, Michael Scott, Forrest Welborn, and Maurice Pierce, declaring them innocent in the case. In 1991, four teenage girls were found bound, shot in the head, and burned inside an Austin yogurt shop called “I Can’t Believe It’s Yogurt!” The case went unsolved for decades, with the four men wrongfully accused and prosecuted. In 2025, DNA evidence was re-examined and linked the crime to Robert Eugene Brashers, a deceased serial killer.
