I'm really vibing with all of this. Vajrayana is, in my opinion, the closest thing, among broadly practiced spiritual traditions, to jedi training that one is going to find.

i think one of the reason why i love Vajrayana Buddhism is Padmasambhava's Rainbow Body likeee the arts about him and the concept itself looks and sounds so cool honestly :] amituofo 🙏🏻

I don’t think there’s a single person on earth who can go straight into non-conceptual meditation. Those that try usually meditate on om or an open sky, which is distinctly conceptual (although abstract). The beauty of tantra is that it’s designed to grab the mind with ritual and deities, so that when your concentration becomes so sharp everything falls away. Non-dual experience is not inherently superior to dual experience, both are true and divine at the same time. All that matters is what works.

There are few Theravada Buddhism chants which are esoteric. Atanatiya sutta verses are very powerful for protection against unseen and secret
obstacles. It invokes Dharma Protectors and all the past and present Buddhas. It was used by forest monks for protection in their deep forest meditation. I tried to chant once and the experience was so powerful that I felt the surrounding trees were shaking. Someone told me that this chant is so powerful and normally it is chanted by the meditation monks only.

it's called magic by commoners, but for practitioners it just like utilize potential that has always been a part of oneself that has not been realized until now.. nothing strange.. all kind of energy is always present in the universe and mankind now can only utlize a small part of it.. advance practitioners is just ahead of others.
like buddha and his disciples can see many worlds in the universe or many tiny creatures in the water, people call it magic, halucination etc, while when someone use telescope or microscope, people will not called them magic, consider them as something ordinary.

Vajrayana has techniques or methods to realize the nondual nature of mind and achieve enlightenment within single life.

dissolving into no-thingness makes so much sense and is exactly the same thing I feel with our meditations in non-dualistic Shaivism. I’m not too familiar with the rituals/magic because for some of us it’s considered closed practises and requires experienced monks…maybe one day I’ll take the leap. For now as you said, I see it more as poetry and yes a helpful tool if necessary. ❤️I love our Dharmic spiritual diversity, thank you for answering

The so-called "magic" in vajrayana is the result of practicing and reciting Dharma's. Dharma practicing makes the practitioner have a big and strong spiritual power ( meta energy)
