Specify in business though. Business admin and management majors are everywhere. The best specialities are accounting, finance, supply chain, and MIS.

There are two year degrees where you can make 100 on your first year, 150/200k in the next few years, with full benefits.

I consider myself lucky because that’s exactly what I did without even knowing that it was going to work out. Corporate might not have been my passion but I’m financially free now at 33 and I plan to retire from corporate at 35. I plan to do things I’m actually passionate about once I’m done with corporate.

Business is such a bad major. It’s so general, that it just doesn’t stand out enough

I’m getting a bba in marketing management but I fear that this industry is so overly saturated and competitive. I’m trying to make a 6 figure, do you recommend a pivot in a sort or skill set or something to strengthen my major overall?

i would say to go into a STEM career with good job prospects over business. Same idea (internships, etc) but the salary earnings are much higher

If you’re stuck on step 1, unable to go to school, try finding internships and apprenticeships! Once you’re in, some companies offer some sort of reimbursements! Either go for certifications or a degree ontop of applying for scholarships! Or just continue the program and those will offer other opportunities without needing school

First Gen here too. I agree with investing as early as possible. I’d say that freelancing and building your portfolio is much more important nowadays than getting a degree.. between AI/ offshoring and layoffs by the time you’re finished the game has changed. I graduated in 2017. first job was in marketing in private equity but what got me in was my hustle and mini portfolio. I then got into tech sales. Again because I was cold emailing and calling the hiring managers. All by watching YouTube and buying specific courses. Never had an internship. That worked for me but I understand there are many ways to get started. Love what you’re doing.
