So glad he’s ok and thanks for raising awareness. Bolting furniture to the wall should be treated with the same priority as putting a baby gate at the top of the stairs. It isn’t optional

Anchoring furniture is 100% possible in a rental that doesn't allow wall "damages" two really simple options: Repair the damages yourself before you move or pay the landlord for the damages when you move. It's just money.

Also sometimes dressers fall even without climbing. As a kid I opened multiple drawers and my dresser fell on me. I still remember being so scared.

I’m a 65 year old woman, I have never heard of anyone bolt down their furniture. A TV on a dresser or stand yes, but never furniture. Not saying it’s wrong by all means, I’m just surprised. I’m hope your son is ok.

We have an unbolted dresser upstairs and you did it , you reached the person who needed a reminder to do this. My 3 and 5 year old are always in that room. Bless you ❤️
