I don’t think this is necessarily true. I’m an atheist, but as a kid I still prayed sometimes even though I wasn’t sure if God was real, and when those prayers weren’t answered it just made me question if that’s actually how the world works. I also have Christian friends and enjoy hearing about their religion. Sometimes things they say make me stop and think for a moment, but I still come back to my own reasonings for not believing. And exploring different beliefs can be a good thing as it helps you understand others and figure out what actually aligns with you the most.
