Terranova :
I used to be a size 00 and had the body everyone wanted. But what it took for me to get to that size was a minimum two hours of lifting and working out every day (minimal cardio, and lifting to build lean muscle, not bulk… an extremely intentional, carefully crafted exercise routine that could not be deviated from. Same with food. I was eating 2500 to 3000 cal a day, but it was very basic foods and required a ton of meal prep. No eating out, no junk food, no processed food. It was exhausting and took up every minute of my spare time. I had to back off because of life and other things, and in order to maintain that size, I had to cut way back on food/calories (1500 avg) and had to do Pilates and yoga almost every day. And if I look at those periods of my life where I was able to maintain that size…I felt perfect, but I was tired all the time, constantly had fights in my relationships, underperformed at work…it’s not worth it. I’m in a happy relationship & it took me having several meltdowns with him before I realized they were caused by low blood sugar…to understand how much it affected me & that it would cost me that relationship as well. I’ve let it go. I’ve gone up a size or two, but I don’t crash all the time, we don’t fight anymore, & I’m more consistent/stable. That’s way more important to me than having the perfect body.
