tried that. Said "i'm lucky, see?" whenever anything even remotely good happened. then broke my knee in a most unlucky bike-road incident ever, broke it in the unluckiest way (so very difficult surgery followed...), and at the unluckiest time possible, missed few important opportunities by minutes, and failed miserably at every single plan i had. soooo yeah. any tips for when the universe is set on proving you wrong?

I've found this since I retired. There is a positive in every situation, you just have to find it. My son bought a boat. We were doing it up together and we found the inside hull full of water and rust. The positive was that we'd found it and could deal with it before his boat ended up at the bottom of the canal. Now it's finished, sure, took longer than anticipated, but he now knows his boat inside out, and knows it's not going to sink and he can enjoy it to the max, and he does.
