I wasn’t expecting to wake up to over 15 million views on just 12 hours starting a global viral “trend” 🤯. Little did I know that this humble bread, rooted in a history of strength and resourcefulness, would become a 🌎 global sensation, carrying forward my Bapche’s legacy 👵🏼. If you’ve never baked bread before, this is the perfect place to start — it’s simple, beginner-friendly, and surprisingly easy. Since then, I’ve made a gluten-free version, olive, cheddar, garlic confit, and so much more! Ingredients 3 cups all-purpose flour (450 g) 1½ teaspoons salt (9 g) ½ teaspoon instant yeast (1–2 g) 1½ cups warm water (360 g) + additional flour for dusting the counter plus the top of the bread , no kneading, dust the top and bottom well, gently shape and transfer ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 1. Mix: In a large bowl, combine flour, salt, yeast, and warm water until a sticky dough forms. 2. Rest: Cover and let the dough rise at room temperature for at least 5 hours (or overnight). 3. Shape: Turn the dough out, flour the surface, and shape into a loaf (no kneading needed). 4. Bake: Place the loaf in an oven-safe dish with a lid, put it in a cold oven, then turn it on to 450°F (230°C). Bake 30 min covered, then 25–30 min uncovered until golden. 5. Cool & enjoy: Let cool a bit, then slice and serve!
