Unless you frame exterior walls with LSL’s you’re going to get waves on a wall that size. No caulk on joints, just flash them

Don’t use clap boards, always a problem with noise and waves , if you caulk or nail at all at the bottom, warranty voided

to clarify for everyone once upon a time, JH recommended everything be caulked - I’m assuming they had some failures of some issues and then later changed their directions - all but joints are supposed to be flashed & left open

flashing behind all joint only and only factory to factory. I see so many guys cut in the middle of the wall. hacks. should caulk under each end at trim then set siding into caulking and then caulk front only at trim
