YES, exactly. I‘m a makeup artist who currently works in retail and people ask me about the „right“ tool to apply foundation with all the time. And they are usually shocked when i tell them that in the end it’s about preference. Of course it might look different depending on what you use, but people need to stop thinking there is a right and wrong way to do makeup. You need to feel comfortable in your skin and comfortable with how your makeup looks. You should feel good and like yourself. That’s what matters.

I used to have the same issue, turns out my skin was too dry and it turned out streaky. Now I have a new moisturizer and it works great now

just a fan of makeup and I do notice that when change foundations, I need to use a different medium, so I will match specific foundations with sponges others with brushes and some I just use my fingers for, and that works for me 🥰 just like some makeup advice DOES NOT work for me, most notably: highlighter on the brow bone under the eyebrow just ages me so much while it makes other people look like sirens!

I prefer using my fingertips clean obviously but I wouldn't mind trying it with a brush I mean I have one time and it just looks tricky and horrible but I didn't have like the most expensive brushes so I didn't expect greatness but I have seen people buying like these hundred dollar brushes and it seems like you have to spend a lot of money for a good brush that won't streak I don't know I would love to try something just to try it I and see if I can ever get it to go on nice like other show on tiktok.

I feel it’s still better with the fingers but influencers have made us feel like we need brushes which do leave slight streaks I use both but prefer fingers. Aged 47.

I only used foundation with my hands for 37 of my 41 years on earth but I learned to use brushes with tik tok and I love it now but the warmth of your hands helps it blend in
