@kennysbutterflygarden: Reposting my raised garden bed lid tutorial because I’m excited to be out in the garden again in the next few weeks👩🏼🌾 instructions below you'll need: • cedar 1x2s or 2x4s (bigger beds = go sturdier) •1/2" or 1" PVC pipe • galvanized pipe straps • 2-4 utility hinges • 1-2 zinc handles •chicken wire •stapler & staples •screws & screwdriver •zip ties (optional) •tape measure 1. measure your bed & cut wood to fit the top - screw the frame together 1 2.cut PVC pipes as tall as you want the lid (I did 10-12" taller than the bed width) 3.use pipe straps to attach one end of the pipe inside the frame, bend to form an arch, then secure the other side 4.cut chicken wire & zip tie it to the arches. wrap wire ends to secure 5. staple the wire to the inside of the wood frame 6. place the lid on vour gard bed, then screw on hinges and handles!
