can you see how impossible it is to walk on the bare rocks for more than 300 feet? nobody knows/says it, but this was the just base of the street, then covered with gravel and soil... Their "asphalt"!

if you ever visit London in summer get the High Speed train to Sandwich have have a day trip visiting the Roman Fort and the pop over to Dover to see the Roman lighthouse at Dover Castle before heading back to London.
