I agree with you 1000% percent ! I’ll keep my comments to myself because they feisty. I’ve seen people say that they are “Africanizing black Americans “ …. I mean isn’t that where we derived from ?

Marcus Garvey created the Pan-African flag in 1920 to provide a unifying symbol of pride, liberation, and nationhood for Black people worldwide. Adopted by the Universal Negro Improvement Association (UNIA), it was a direct response to a racist 1900 song that mocked Black people for not having a flag, representing a "political maturity" that challenged oppression.

Key reasons for the flag's creation include:
Response to Racism: The flag was a rebuttal to the "coon song," "Every Race Has a Flag but the Coon," which was popular at the time.
Unity and Identity: Garvey believed it was a "necessity" for Black people to have a symbol of their political existence and a rallying point for unity, regardless of where they lived.
Pan-Africanism and Black Pride: The flag represented the desire for a free, united Africa and a symbol of independence for people of African descent, promoting the concept of "Africa for Africans".

The flag's colors (Red, Black, and Green) symbolize:
Red: The blood that unites all people of African ancestry, shed for liberation.
Black: The people and their black skin.
Green: The abundant natural wealth of Africa.

Well you’d be surprised on how immagrants act in places like NYC were they call themselves AA. Many of these immigrants have identity issues because when they go home they aren’t considered native and when they’re here they’re not considered American and so they target the ppl who do not have identity issues by projecting on us that Africa is our home, we have no culture , the YT man owns us . And all other types of bullshyt they say. What I don’t like is how everyone is quick to correct us but they’ve been saying shyt like that for yrs and nobody gaf if anything they laughed with them. Anytime in a place like NYC OR LA knows there’s no BLK and brown unity that benefits BLK ppl EVER

all people come from africa, but we are not Continental Africans I guess that's the simplest way I can put it.
It’s not a movement, it’s not a group. It’s a lineage

Saying or thinking FBA is a movement is like saying the civil rights movement is the Black American lineage.

FBA seems to be now what was called ADOS a few years ago. Outside of xenophobic they also tend to be other -phobics and participate in a lot of -isms too and tend to be more politically and socially conservative. Thats a generalization, of course, but like you said many things can exist at once, Black Americans being an ethnic group now…but clearly are roots are from Africa, and even if most of us may be of generationally mixed heritage now, we present that phenotypically regardless. Like that can’t be denied lol. Anyway, enjoyed your videos. I got about 5-6 gens on both sides just through records accessible on Ancestry (haven’t come in contacting with the snow yet though I know it’s there), but now I’m curious to do more
