New foster mom here along the side of my husband and we also get questions/comments like this. I’m so glad you also advise to get attached because we often say the same to others. The best way to do this journey is to get attached. Jesus has been my solid rock and I can’t explain in words just how much my faith has grown through this journey. ❤️So glad I came across your video because it gives me validation of how we feel as well.

You aren’t doing foster care for you, you are doing it for them. If you make a day, a week, a month, a year or a life time for them better, then you have done what you are suppose to do. You will be surprised how many of these kids will stay in contact with you or even get in touch with you years later.
