@molesrcool: China has already cracked the code in this game changing car technology while the US settles for much much less #carnews #carsoftiktokcontest #tesla
but how does this generate value for the shareholder of oil companies?

This would also solve the need to replace batteries every 100-200 mi. Older batteries can be automatically removed from circulation and recycled. Win win.

This is the correct answer for EV - hot swappable batteries. It will never work in the US because initially it requires infrastructure and no corporation will want to / be able to implement it. This is a perfect example of the need for a federal program which will just never happen in the US. We're stuck with short-term shitty corporations only concerned with shareholders value and next quarter profits.

We have these in Norway, swapping takes shorter time than filling a gas or diesel tank. A lot of taxis uses them. For most people, charging an ev at home is good enough tho

I mean, it is still pretty bad financially and especially for the environment. I think instead of focusing only on electric vehicles, more thought should be given to public transport as a means to reduce pollution

There’s a huge flaw with the concept. So you buy a brand new car, with a brand new battery, then it gets swapped out when it needs to be filled, leaving you with an old one. People avoid doing this with propane tanks, you think they’re going to go along with it for their expensive vehicles? Lmao
