I remember in 2018ish posting about how I stopped dating someone because they wouldn’t compliment me about anything AT THE BEGINNING OF A RELATIONSHIP and the gaslighting I got was wild. Like, this is the honeymoon phase. This is the best it it’s ever gonna be. If they’re not nice to you at the outset, it will only get worse.

After going on my self love journey in 2023, I’m so ashamed of all the times I was fr begging for love and attention and compliments 😭 self love is key and with self love comes self respect and higher standards.
