A good hook starts in the toes of the opposite side. Left hook should feel like every muscle between your right pointer toe and your left pinky are in one unison trying to spin you and pull your hand inward as it moves. The rotation plus the circumference of the punch shrinking makes the speed and power devastating while also making it harder to read(because you aren't isolating the rotation and pull to your back and core(which is most of it but also the easiest to read))
