safe carry for a SAA is 5/6 rounds leaving a empty cylinder for when holstered as there's no safety and resting the hammer on a live round can cause a accidental discharge when the revolver gets jarred (like when riding horseback).

A better method to reload SAAs would be to eject the spent brass and load a new bullet before spinning the cylinder to the next chamber. I’ve seen people do it in 6~ seconds as opposed to the 10+ it would’ve took.
