Hi! I’m Kaitlyn, a wife, mom of two little kids, and DIYer 👋 I started to DIY 5 years ago when I realized that it was totally possible to build wooden furniture. @anawhitediy was a huge DIY inspiration for me, and I decided to start small with my first project: building a nightstand. We’ll, I wanted to start with a king bed, but my husband thought I should start a little smaller with a nightstand 😉. At this point, I was designing the furniture and putting it together. I didn’t have a saw, but my father-in-law did the cuts for me. My first big project was the king bed with a complimentary night stand. From there, I didn’t want to depend on anyone else to complete any project, so I taught myself how to use a circular saw, a drill, and a pocket hole jig and started dreaming up and taking up projects. Since then, I’ve done countless DIY home projects, ranging from a board and batten hook wall to improve the functionality of our front entry, to a two-story indoor playhouse for my kids 👧👦. Now, I’m eager to share all the DIY skills I’ve learned and teach you how power tools confidently (and safely). Before becoming a SAHM, I was an elementary teacher, so teaching and empowering is kind of in my blood. ✨ Follow along to learn how to use power tools, learn basic DIY skills, gain DIY project inspiration, and for a dose of what life is like in the Larson family as I navigate mom life. ✨ Say hi 👋 in the comments! ✨ Share this with someone wanting to learn how to DIY! #learntodiy #diyskills #beginnerdiy #diyhome #diyhomeprojects #powertools #tooltips #diymama #diywithkids
