Well I believe that depends on the person and how well they know their body and what age!.... I'm 61 years and workout 3-4 days a week and so when I recover or rest for a couple of days my body feels better!...

I often do super light pumping, low sets , full body weights on “rest “ days. Gets that blood going. Lots of stretching
