The homeless community here in Tauranga are such a close knit family who just need a little help. My work donates to my friend’s charity “under the stars” as much as we’re able to. This government are treating them like they’re not even people, it’s heartbreaking.

The government makes a mistake thinking homeless people dont have the means of actually having money and paying taxes.. as many ive met have jobs and do things like seasonal work etc.. but it doesn't give them enough to have a home, as homes are often hard to come by.. or hard to keep due to the rising rent.. simply moving someone on who is struggling isnt what we should be about it should be about fixing the crisis and making living affordable.. so we can have people moving into homes.. there are solutions.. but our government is to busy trying to line their pockets and fluff around rather than do anything that would benefit the people.
