Alright CapCut users, a lot of you asked, so here’s my full editing workflow in CapCut. Keep in mind, some edits may need small tweaks, like adding music after importing files. 1. Organize your files
Keep your folders clean so you can find everything fast and avoid confusion later. 2. Import your media
Bring all your clips, audio, and assets into CapCut in organized folders before you start. 3. Clean up your audio
Remove background noise, adjust levels, and make sure your voice is clear. 4. Sync your video to your audio (if needed)
Match your clips perfectly with your voice-over or main audio track. 5. Do a rough cut
Lay everything out and build the basic structure of your video. 6. Cut even more out
Trim unwanted parts and keep only what adds value. Tighter is better. 7. Ideation
Think through the story, pacing, and creative direction before polishing the edit.
This gives you a clear guide on how to shape your final video. 8. Add B-rolls, animations & graphics
Insert visuals that support your message and make the edit more dynamic.
This is where you bring your ideas from the ideation stage to life. 9. Sound design your edit
Add music sound effects and shape the audio feel of your video. 10. Color grade
Match your colors, set the mood, and make your footage look clean and consistent. 11. Rewatch & make final tweaks
Watch your edit one more time and fix any small details. 12. Export your video
Save it in the right format and you’re ready to post. These are just some of the things I teach in my CapCut Course. This is my actual editing workflow. Every video I create goes through these steps, and in the course, I show you how to make it work for your own edits. Full course is in my bio.
