Next quarter becomes next year becomes never. 8️⃣ They call you a culture add, a team player, someone they could not do without. But none of those compliments come with a promotion or a pay rise. 9️⃣ You are invited to every meeting but never given decision making power in any of them. 🔟 Your manager is supportive in private but never advocates for you in rooms you are not in. Support that is invisible to leadership is not support. It is comfort. If this list felt too familiar, it is time to have the conversation or start making a plan.
