Be just like camping, The only difference is it'll just be in my house 🤷 I know where to collect water, I know where I can source food. Would also be like living in the old old old days before electricity, before plumbing, before running water

we would survive... we have a deisel heater and wood and a fire pit , frigdes, freezers, solar lights , torches, lots of candles, tea lights, and plenty of batteries.solar panels running on batteries gas burners for cooking ,water tanks , fans, air cond , hot water system that will all work without the grid. we are doing up a bus to travel in and have all this in place. and plenty of food and a veggie garden. Our goal is to live off grid totally.

First thing I would do is look up at the stars. I have lived in the city my whole life so I have never seen what they really look like

As long as we have access to some fuel for the generator to keep some food cold we should be ok.

If you went back to when I was a child, I’m 69 and all you had was candles and kerosene lanterns and all that you didn’t have much you had to do stuff by yourself and that’s what we go back to

We actually experienced something like this in the countryside of the Philippines after Typhoon Odette. We had no electricity, no signal, and no running water for over a year. Phones were almost useless because there was no signal. We cooked with fallen wood, used coconut oil lamps at night, and got water from deep wells. Food became very expensive, but thankfully we had our own crops, especially sweet potatoes, which kept us from going hungry. It honestly felt like we had gone back in time. Looking back, having your own garden and an off grid power system is a huge advantage during disasters.
