There is nothing unique about this. This is America too…low pay, high living cost, credit card, can not buy a home …only people who made it are boomers …now young people are out of luck unless they came from a family of money

I actually just found out that international English teacher only make about $20k a year in Japan, that's why that are Japanese teachers who have to work double jobs to afford to pay their bills!

My ex worked at a big corporation in Shinagawa. She was hired after college and even after working there for 6 years she could not comfortably afford an apartment and had to move in with her grandparents.

When i was an English teacher in 2014-15 i was making 235k - 320k pm. Rent was 55k. I can not believe how bad it's gotten now. I was there last year and everything is expensive. I don't know how typical families are doing it!!
