I’m moving in July for language school, my rent in Osaka will likely be 80k rent sadly, still wayyyy more affordable than US though. Congrats on getting this far man, excited to be there!

So basically all your costs are low relative to your income; Which makes sense since Japan has a more broad middle class. I do think "easier financially" would depend on what your specific goals are since not everyone only wanna pay the bills, and that lower income ceiling wouldn't work for someone like my mom or my friend, who's married.
