@thefragilelight.page: death is scary. but what's scarier is refusing to hold the hand that's reaching for you because you can't accept that it's reaching from somewhere you can't follow. what's scarier is making them go alone. agnes finally held his hand. it took years. it took a play. but she did it. she held him while he left. that's all any of us can do. hold on. let go. both at once ❤️‍🩹 #hamnet #hamlet #jessiebuckley #paulmescal #movie

“Hamnet” had to die so “Hamlet” could live. The way this movie portrays the haunting weight of an empty room is just devastating. I’m still crying. 😭 Learning something new from every edit and analysis I watch just tears me apart every time. ❤️‍🩹

I haven't seen anyone mentioned the color Agnes wears throughout the movie. shes the bold color through most of it but right after Hamnet dies she is wearing clothes that are bare. until she sees the play she wears red again

I held my fathers hand in death two weeks ago and now I know why I haven’t been able to see this film - it would destroy me . I will be brave someday and hopefully with some one holding my hand

Some profound writing here. Thanks for ripping the stitches from my open wound. Genuinely. I love when art makes us feel so intensely. How lucky are we to experience the duality of grief and love.

I sobbed at the audiobook, narrated by Jessie Buckley. I haven't had the courage to watch the film yet. I loved the novel.

I was trying to interpret how the Orpheus and Eurydice story reflected on them properly for a while and you’ve just nailed it on the head! Thank you
