Thank you! This reminder of a long train ride that I had, in a car with a woman into London one night... It remained conversation only, although chemistry was strong. I was a Mormon missionary on my way to a transfer in another life.

Not too many filmmakers have the longevity to extend over time. The Boyhood films. The Up documentary films . There’s also a subset that uses old footage. The Limey used Terrance Stamps scenes from Poor Cow and Targets had content from Karloff in the Terror. The Sunset films are the most poignant though

I had the great fortune of being a projectionist (in college) when my theater had Before Sunrise. I watched Before Sunrise 10 years later and was actually crying. Before Midnight left me in a special place. Absolutely AMAZING trilogy.

I love a quiet story. “Mr. Turner,” with Timothy Spall about the landscape painter, simply details his life and work. Nothing dramatic but excellent performances.
