I've done both, its far better use of my time to scrap it. Forge, crucibles, propane, molds, tools, sanding discs etc and lots of your time you must include.

Copper loses value when you melt it and put it into bars like that. You won't get the 99% shining copper price. Plumbing pipe is copper to but it is not te same. Scrap yards don't know if you melted the two together hens dropping the price.

I’m gonna head on over to the scrapyard to sell my copper thanks . By the time I buy everything to refine it into bars and then sell it online and waste days of my life to make an extra $35 bucks is just not worth it to me

i have lots of junk at my house (washer,fridge,tvs) and are the copper from the power cable worth it im kinda confused its kinda tiring extracting from the power cables

I seen people pay hundreds for cast copper.dont know why, you can buy it for cheap as scrap. they never get their money back in 20 years
