Dark Souls 1's aesthetic is truly perfect. You can feel the despair of a fallen kingdom desperately clinging to what it once was. I still remember seeing Gwyn for the first time. I felt nothing but awe. Witnessing the one who brought light to the world reduced to a hollow shell, fighting without the grace he once possessed, is absolutely heartbreaking.What makes the game so beautiful is how it makes you feel sympathy for everyone: your character, the enemies, and even the world itself. The atmosphere, the soundtrack, and the interconnected map are simply flawless. No other game has ever made me want to cry just from hearing its OST or taking in its world.Dark Souls is, without a doubt, the greatest dark fantasy game in history.
