@hiphopofthe90s: In 2003, 50 Cent and G-Unit appeared on “Rap City: Tha Basement” during the height of their breakout run. At that point, 50 had just released “Get Rich or Die Tryin'”, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and quickly became one of the biggest rap releases of the year. 👀 G-Unit, made up of 50 Cent, Lloyd Banks, and Young Buck, was building serious momentum. Their group album “Beg for Mercy” would drop later that year and also debut at No. 1. During their freestyle appearance, each member took a turn, but Young Buck's verse stood out for a lot of viewers because of his delivery and intensity. Clips from that session have continued circulating online years later, often referenced as one of the stronger G-Unit-era freestyle moments from the early 2000s. That period marked a major shift in mainstream rap, with G-Unit becoming one of the most commercially visible crews of the mid-2000s. 💯 How y'all rating Young Buck's verse on this one 🤔⁉️ 🎥 Via: 50 Cent & G-Unit - Runnin' Freestyle - Rap City Basement (2003) #rap #hiphop #rapmusic #hiphopmusic #music
