cheer coach here: thats a known cheer thing, no nails longer than your finger tip due to safety and no polish at performance/comp time. I always make sure I address this by first practice and put it in handbook. you could have just filed them down. its that way ANYWHERE u cheer.

where do you live if you live in Texas or Houston Texas you can go to Divine cheer are you if you live in LA or Compton or Gardena or Carson you can let go to perfect score cheer tumbling and gymnastics it's really good gymnastics stunning place where you get to learn and that you can have nails I think but it's really fun so enjoy

Come to Stingray Allstars we don’t have a no nails policy. It’s just if you break one at practice. You can’t really be mad at the gym for it and like you’re allowed to wear them just like if something happens to them you just can’t be mad at the gym for it same with piercings

its a rule not by the coaches it is an AIA rule the whole team and school can be fined if you are caught with them on. it is a safety issue but that should have been discussed when u got on the team

Baby I did cheer nails are perfectly fine literally long or not nothing pointy tho and wearing jewelry can wear no big earrings or bracelets those the only rules that’s all or nonecklaces at comps game most time are ok

i get the no long nails but the nails arent even that long, but maybe cause you got the duck nails, they can hurt your flyers and if they pop of during tumbling it can hurt the nail bed

as a allstar cheerleader i been cheering for 6 years and as i got older the nail thing started and i don’t rlly see a problem with the nails but its the sharp parts on the side and stuff bc it can cause a injury etc, so i recommend getting nails when ur on break for the season or at least a week before u start practicing again

As an All Star coach it's not uncommon for long nails to not be allowed because you run risk of them being ripped off during a stunt. It's mostly a safety thing, but for some it has to do with uniformity. My girls can't have nails during competition but understand the risk of having them the rest of the time. I'm also flexible as long as they aren't past the finger tips. So just be prepared to run into that rule with other teams as well.

I lowkey understand both sides tbh, you should’ve just followed the rules but also your mother did pay lots of money , so I wouldn’t take them off either.
