My friend Sarah is 25. She has hearing aids they link to her phone like Bluetooth and she uses it as fancy headphones. She loves them and I love that she hears me. It’s cool af. But I can’t whisper around her anymore- she hears ALL.

I know I’m really late, but I wanted to say that I’ve been struggling with hearing loss since I was like two, and the struggle is real, your videos have made me feel really seen. As a teenager I struggle with wearing my hearing aids because I hate feeling different but i’m going to start wearing them again and you really helped me with that. Thank you!!

My 28 year old friend has degenerative hearing loss diagnosed early in life. I’ve been friends with her since she was 23 and she’s thriving. She needs hearing aids and has since 24 or so. You’re right it’s scary, but if I can give any assurance it’s not hindered her life! She’s got an amazing job, she got married in the fall. It’s merely a bump!

audiologist here! sounds like it's a sensorineural hearing loss, can be caused by multiple reasons, the thing about it is that you try to get "used to it and adapt yourself to the loss" aka turning volume up for you to hear it and that stuff, it could also be Meniere (hearing loss can vary) or other reasons, don't worry, nowadays we have multiple solutions, many people have audition problems you're not alone in this!!!

Hey girl, I’m 37 but I’ve worn hearing aids since my early twenties. I have “severe” hearing loss as well. Yes it does suck. Hearing aids make things a bit better. The upside that I’ve found is that I’m more attuned and empathetic because I’ve learned to pay attention to others so intensely. Good luck! You are not alone.

Sorry you have to deal with this. My partner has hearing aids and she uses a device at the theater where it transmits directly to her aides. She hears the actors better than I do

You’ll adjust quicker if you wear them more. When I got mine I would wear them as much as I could stand it, and it was a LOT that first week or two, but it gets so much better!
